Your Favorite PowerPoint Background Color is Blue!
For over a year, I ran an online PowerPoint poll at my PowerPoint blog that asks a fairly simple question:
"What's Your Favorite PowerPoint Background Color?"
From April 6 to May 5, 2004, I received 113 responses to this question. Here are the results, in graphic form:
During most of the month of April, it would appear that "blue" is an overwhelming crowd pleaser, while "black" is the least favorite.
Now, I know this super-simple online poll isn't valid or reliable. There was no "random sampling" -- the only people who answered were people who visited the Maniactive site that felt like answering. And most people who come to this site are looking for PowerPoint backgrounds, templates, and downloads....so of course they're biased!
But it's their bias that makes the poll interesting. After all, they are the people who are designing and watching PowerPoint presentations...and in April, most of you "powerful PowerPoint folks" liked the color blue.
So, I ran the poll for another month. Here are the results:
After over 1 year and a thousand opinions, the live online PowerPoint poll revealed the same, consistent answer:, blue is definitely the overwhelming preference.
