  How to Podcast from PowerPoint

January 2007 Podcasting from PowerPoint Update: I wrote the following three paragraphs about Podcasting from PowerPoint over a year ago. Ignore it. What worked in 2006 no longer works in 2007! Here is the lastest information I have on How to Podcast from PowerPoint. Thanks, Laura Bergells.

I show you exactly how to podcast from PowerPoint in this 5 minute streaming video titled "How to Podcast from PowerPoint." You'll need the Real Player to view it.

So, not only can you podcast directly from PowerPoint, this very blog entry proves that you can video blog from PowerPoint as well.

Now that's a happy new year! Enjoy!

Hi Laura

I'm new to the world of blogs, working on a podcast and your video was really helpful. I've posted about it:

Hodges' Model: Welcome to the Quad: Podcast: update - Powerpoint-OPML & Barry White

All the best and thanks!

You can create PowerPoint podcasts in video and audio iwht pen strokes very simply using SnapKast. It's about to be hit the market. Check out SnapKast.com

How do I get this product? Snapkast looks cool there is a download but I do not have the password. When is it going public? www.snapkast.com

I have a copy of SnapKast it is easy to use and makes it much more simple then using the powerpoint process that was in your article.

Whats really nice is that you can move around and the recorder records in what ever order you want. You can add whiteboards and it picks up the annotations. In our 4th grade class we use it to record the digital whiteboard activity.

A simple tool SnapKast.com

There's a free download to check out SnapKast at http://snapkast.com/demo.html

authorSTREAM has just released PowerPoint to Video and PPT to iPod services, which are both free to use. You need to simply upload your presentation with rehearsed timings to authorSTREAM and if you see the video download and iPod download icons, it means that your presentation is converted and ready for download.
