Beware of PowerPoint!
Darn! Just one day after Microsoft's "patch" day, we hear about a major new vulnerability in PowerPoint called "Zero Day".
So be careful out there!
Symantec writes an invaluable post about this new PowerPoint Trojan - along with helpful tips for what to look out for. As always, "don't open emailed PowerPoint files that you aren't expecting to receive, from people you don't know" -- that's pretty good advice. And keeping your virus software current is also standard safety operating procedure, too.
And while keeping your security patches up-to-date is good counsel: Microsoft won't develop a plug for this particular security hole until next month. ¶ 7/18/2006 09:34:00 AM
